The Garb caught up with Heather Brown, JIm Baty, & Rocky Geans and discussed workforce after their presentations to the Nebraska Concrete & Aggregates Associations Annual Quality Concrete Conference.
The Quality Concrete Conference kicked-off this year with a different theme, industry development. With a main focus on recruiting and retaining the Millennium age group. Other areas of focus was creating a concrete contractor association. The NC&AA brought in great speakers such as James Baty (Concrete Foundation Assn), Dr. Heather Brown (Middle Tennessee State University), and Rocky Geans (Rocky Geans LLC). All speakers emphasized the importance of collaboration and sharing resources to improve the industry.
